Ethel Zupon
May 19, 1924 - August 8, 2011

Ethel Zupon, of Deerbrook, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at her home. She was 87 years old. She was born on May 19, 1924 a daughter of Alex and Emma (Yanda) Petrowski. She married Jacob Zupon on April 28, 1945 at St. Wencel Catholic Church in Neva. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2000.

She was raised in the Town of Vilas where she and her husband operated a dairy farm for many years.

She enjoyed time with her family, gardening, reading, watching the wildlife in her yard, and her cat Marley.

Survivors include two sons James (Linda) Zupon, Deerbrook, Dennis (Judy) Zupon, Antigo; daughter Mary (Mike) Frisch, Antigo; six grandchildren Connie (Dan) Wild, Holley (Dan) Luedtke, Scott Zupon, Michael Zupon, Jacob Frisch and fiancee Ashley Metko, Stephanie Frisch; four great-grandchild Danielle and Julia Wild, Alex and Ian Luedtke; a sister Patricia Doucette, Antigo; a brother Donald Petrowski, Merrill.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Petrowski, a sister Verna Teal and a half-sister Marie Jalowicz.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Omer Kelley officiating. Burial will take place in Forest View Cemetery, in the town of Vilas.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at Bradley Funeral Home.
