Canton - Gerald R Carrier, 98, of Canton passed January 17, 2022 at Sunset Nursing Home in Canton. Gerald was born on August 18, 1923 in Erie, Pennsylvania to George R and Alice (Eckendorf) Carrier. He graduated from Mooseheart, where he met the love of his life, Lena Rowley of 73 years. They were married on November 15, 1942 in Mooseheart, IL. She preceded him death on January 11, 2016. Also preceding him in death were his parents and one daughter Jeri Carrier. He is survived by four children; Michael (Dot Hills) Carrier, Diana (Wendell Covert) Carrier, Deborah (Larry) Ward, LuAnn (Steve) Miller, six grandsons, one granddaughter, one great grandson, three great granddaughters, one great-great grandson and one great-great granddaughter. He was a WWII Veteran, also he was retired from International Harvester. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton are in charge of arrangements.
