Robert V. Bennett, 66, of Brimfield, passed away at 12:35 p.m., on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at OSF Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria.
He was born on July 30, 1955, in Peoria to Robert and Helen (Turner) Bennett-Shields. He married Jo Lynne Maher.
He is survived by his significant other, Brenda Schwark of Brimfield, who he shared 18 years with; his mother; one daughter, Bobbie Jo (Brian Vaughn) Berryman of Peoria; seven sisters, Diane (Frank) Jones of Bartonville, Debbie (Mark) Edwards of Toulon, Ellen Kirk of Canton, Sue (Ron) Junod of Jacksonville, FL, Cindi (Mark) Cinnamon of Shabbona, Sherry (Marvin) Zilch of Farmington, and Kathy (Doug) Troop of Peoria; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Robert was a member of Teamsters 165 and worked for United Concrete Company. Later, doing what he loved, he drove his tractor in many tractor pulls and spent time with his family. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Per Robert's wishes, there will be no services.
Memorials may be made to Farmer State Bank in care of his grandchildren.
