TIPTON, Iowa - Mark Westbrooks, 59, of Tipton, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Mercy Iowa City.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. on April 9, 2022, at Riverside East Shelter in the Riverside Park, in Moline. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.


Mark was born on November 1, 1962, in Moline, Illinois, the son of Odie and Vista Estes Westbrooks. He married Dena DeVore on May 11, 1993, in Tipton.

He retired from HWH in Moscow after over 30 years. He enjoyed his dogs and cats, Illini football, Chicago Bears, and WWE, especially Rick Flair. His granddaughter Allison was the joy of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Dena Westbrooks of Tipton; daughters, Stacy Westbrooks and Miranda Tall; three grandchildren, Lamont Tall, Kamren Tall, and Allison Westbrooks; two siblings, Jane Rumler of Moline, and Milton Westbrooks and wife, Linda, of Belden, Mississippi; step father-in-law, Mack Smith; sister-in-law, Jody Westbrooks; and several nieces and nephews.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Frank Westbrooks; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald DeVore and Dorothy DeVore Smith; niece, Cindy Robinson; and brother-in-law, Rick Rumler.
