Mark D. Conaway
MUSCATINE, Iowa--Mark D. Conaway, 55, of Muscatine, died Monday, August 29, 2011 at his home.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2611 Lucas Street, Muscatine, Iowa. Rev. Jeff Pautz will officiate the services. Cremation rights were facilitated by the Family Care Services Life Transition and Cremation Center, Muscatine, Iowa. Following the services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the church. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Mark's name.
Mark DeWayne Conaway was born on July 17, 1956, in Iowa City, the son of Robert E. "Turk" and Dorothy F. Knowler Conaway. On September 4, 1982, Mark was united in marriage to Kaye Yeater in Muscatine.
He was employed as an independent truck driver for FTI.
Mark was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, working on the house, spending time with his three dogs and his special niece and nephew, Scott and Jennifer Stanton.
Mark will be deeply missed by his wife, Kaye Conaway of Muscatine; a brother, Jack Conaway of Muscatine; two sisters, Doreen Macias and husband, Joe, of Wapello, and Kay Fifield and husband, Clint, of Muscatine; two half-brothers, Robert Stanton and wife, Peggy, of Joplin, Missouri and Steve Stanton and wife, Rhonda, of Washington; two half-sisters, Linda Conaway of Ottumwa, and Sherry Stanton-Stewart of Morning Sun; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Eli Conaway; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
