"Malke has been my Tia for over 40yr she was mom?s best friend her sister they were like Thelma and Louise in a lot of ways lol. I have so many memories with Malke we would watch Telenovelas together and debate about music and songs being considered Tejano or not I could go to her room on El Pensador and hang out for hours with her she would hide me when I didn?t want deal with the outside world now and then her room was a safe haven at times she was there for Andrews birth and she was the 1st person to keep him when I went back to work early they had a bond she would always say how?s the boy when we would talk and after mom passed away she was there for us all and I hate that I lived far and we drifted apart but it was also so hard to see her and hear her voice and not miss mom I know they are hugging each other right right now and watching us all. I remember traveling with her to Padre and San Antonio and Brownsville we had so much fun even a trip to Houston when I was younger she was so graceful and poised always even when I saw her recently she still as beautiful as always. So many great memories I know she loved owls I would always find something owl and think of her and gave her many owl items over the years but when my granddaughter was born and she likes owls I always thought she had a piece of Tia in her not even meeting yet she had the same love for owls as Malke now when I see something with an owl or an owl I?ll know she is thinking of us all"
