Lucille M. Kania, 89 of Riverview, MI passed away February 1, 2022 at Rivergate Nursing home. She was born May 25, 1932 in Portsmouth, OH to Eddie and Irene (Allen) Wilburn. Lucille enjoyed shopping at thrift stores and spending time with her family when she could. Lucille was a strong, independent and amazing woman who overcame many obstacles in her long life.
Lucille is survived by her daughter; Rose (James) Turner of Portsmouth, OH and son Terry (Heidi) Sisler of Southgate, MI; four grandchildren, Rose Sisler, Candice Sisler, Tonya Dayton, Terry T.J., (Bethany) Sisler; five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Sisler, Cheyenne Faulkner, Sadie Faulkner, Charlotte Sisler and Amelia Sisler. She is also survived by a sister Emma Daniels, a brother Willard Allen and daughter in law Pam Coleman.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband John F. Kania and her son Michael G. Spiteri.
Visitation for Mrs. Lucille Kania will be Friday, February 4, 2022 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm (1:00pm Funeral Service being live streamed on Verheyden Funeral Homes Facebook page) at Chas. Verheyden Inc., 7100 Michigan Ave. Detroit, 48210. Burial will take place at Woodmere Cemetery at 3:00pm.
