Mrs. Mary Rose Mooney, age 87, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022. She was born in Chicago, IL on May 2, 1934 to Charles & Catherine (Mulholland) Costello and married Carl Mooney on August 11, 1956. Mary was a graduate of Marycrest College in Davenport, IA where she majored in speech and drama and was a devoted parishioner at her church, wherever she lived, with her last parish being St. Mary's in Spring Lake. She was a wonderful mother to 8 children, fabulous grandma to 20 grandkids and adored her 9 great grandchildren. Mary was a lifelong volunteer wherever she lived, was a self acknowledged book "snob" and kept up on current world events. She loved singing show tunes, playing cards with friends and continuously loved everyone in her life until the end. She loved the simplest of adventures and surprises (was thrilled by the drive by parade her family had for her 86th birthday the pandemic) and her rendition of "I love to laugh" is one for the record books. Most importantly, Mary was a kind and grateful person to all she knew, was the example of humility, and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl in 2019, her triplet daughter Mary Colleen Mooney in 2016 and her siblings Patsy, John, Katie, Barbara, Ginny and Chuck.
