Dana Kryka
April 14, 1956 - February 12, 2022

Dana Kryka, age 65, of Antigo, died unexpectedly Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital due to stage four cancer. She was born on April 14, 1956, in Neillsville, a daughter of Vernon and Barbara (Marrs) Stewart. She married John Kryka on August 26, 1989, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Antigo.

Dana was a 1974 graduate of Antigo High School. She was employed by Langlade County as a Real Property Lister for 39 years. She retired in 2019.

Dana had a beautiful voice and enjoyed being a member of "Of Chorus", the highlights of which included singing on stage at Carnegie Hall while 7 months pregnant with Ben, and later singing with the group in Russia. She also enjoyed traveling and was a history buff, especially Civil War history.

Survivors include her husband, John; a daughter, Sarah (significant other Jack Blaker) Kryka of Menomonie; a son, Benjamin Kryka of Madison; sister, Valerie (John) LeVeque of Antigo; two brothers, Lee (Leslie) Stewart of Pepin and Scott Stewart of Milwaukee. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Seals; and a brother, Tod Stewart.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 7 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m.

"I met Dana in 1979 when we both applied for the same job. She got the job and 3 months later I was hired also. Dana had a laugh you can't forget. She loved her family and it showed. Deepest Sympathy to her family and friends. A great soul gone too soon. "
