In loving memory of

Patricia Ann Erbes
August 17, 1953 - February 6, 2022

Patricia Ann Erbes, loving known as "Patty with a Y," graduated to heaven on February 6, 2022, after a long illness. She was 68 years old at the time of her death and resided in Puyallup, WA.
Patty was born August 17, 1953, at Cocoa Beach, Florida when her parents were stationed at Patrick Air Force Base and was the youngest of 4 children, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
As a military family, Patty had the opportunity to live in France twice as well as all over the United States. Besides Florida, she lived in South Carolina, New Mexico, and California before coming to Washington state. Patty developed her love of travel at a young age through her parents, Jack and Rose Erbes. Her last trip was driving up to Snoqualmie Falls just to enjoy the changing colors of the trees in the fall 2 years ago.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents Jack H. and Rose E. Erbes, and her brother Jack H. Erbes.
Patty is survived by her siblings Gustav Erbes (Capitola, CA), Rozena Erbes(Puyallup, WA), her niece Michelle Perthel (Tacoma, WA) and nephews Gerald Erbes (Maine) and Jack Erbes, Jr (Florida). She is also survived by great-nephews Christian Perthel (Tacoma, WA) and James Dean (Florida).
Patty graduated in the first class from Washington High School, Tacoma WA in 1971. She worked at Buffelen Woodworking until 1975, as a waitress in Tacoma for 18 years and in industrial linen services for 31 years, retiring in 2014 from MultiCare Tacoma General Linen Services.
Patty loved gardening. No matter where she lived, she had lots of house plants. When she bought her first home in 2003, she was so excited to have a flower garden. She babied her rose bushes and readily shared them with friends. She always had cut flowers in her home.
She loved her cats, who were like her children. Her cats never lacked for anything they needed and so usually lived 18-20 years!
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior January 7, 1996, at New Horizon Church, Fife, WA. She served in many areas of the church over the years. Her final service was intercessory prayer. She was always ready to pray for and with anyone that needed prayer. It was so important to her that everyone had the chance to meet Jesus and know His love.
Although the last 5 years had been a physical challenge to her, she never let it stop her if at all possible. After retiring she spent hours every day praying for family, the church, and the nations.
Patty's legacy will be a legacy of faith in her Lord, that walked with her throughout her journeys in life. She trusted in the Lord with all of her heart, mind, and soul.
A celebration of her life will take place February 26, 2022, at 2:00 pm at New Horizon Church, Fife, WA. For more information feel free to contact the church at (253)-922-1502 or via email at office@newhcc.com.
In lieu of flowers Patty has requested donations be made to New Horizon Church, Missions, 5600 Valley Ave E, Fife, WA 98424

"Patty. My dearest friend!! How will I get along without you?? I can't imagine how strange this is going to be. Thank you for being such a steadfast presence this last 30 years. I know you are dancing with Jesus, fully restored! How much joy that brings my soul! I love you more. . . "
