In loving memory of

Kenneth Lee Fetterman
April 24, 1981 - December 27, 2021

Kenneth (Kenny) Lee Fetterman passed into the Lord’s arms on Dec 27, 2021. He was born on April 24, 1981 in Jackson MS and he had been fighting rectal cancer for the past four years. Kenny was a gentle soul, sweet yet stubborn, kind and fiercely independent. He loved spending time with his family: Boy Scout trips with his Dad, beating his sisters in a game of Heart’s, or dropping a line to catch fish. He had a life-long love affair with animals, was thrilled when his jokes made people laugh, and absolutely obsessed with steam engine trains. Kenny’s happy place was Busch Gardens riding the roller-coasters, talking to the train engineers at Busch Gardens, wandering through a haunted house, eating every hour (on the hour), and taking in a show. Kenny was known as “Mr. Fixit” within his family and his curiosity about how things worked meant always having multiple projects to repair cars, ceiling fans, fax machines, or just anything old and electric. Kenny achieved Eagle Scout rank in the Boy Scouts. In true Kenny fashion, he leveraged these skills during his last months while restricted to bed to create a rope-pulley system that would control his ceiling fan, lights, and door.

Kenny is survived by his father, Colonel James C Fetterman, USAF (Retired) his mother Patricia Alice Shewmake-Wayman, his sisters Janet and Paula, his brother David, and two nephews, Jay and Nate.
Instead of flowers or other contributions, the family asks that donations be sent to Camp Flying Eagle in care of the Southwest Florida Council, 1801 Boy Scout Drive, Ft Myers, Fl 33907
