George W. Holmes, on February 22, 2022, of Laurel Springs; formerly of South Philadelphia. Age 75.
Beloved husband of Lynn. Devoted father of Mary Tomaino (Joe), Keith (Gwenna), Karen Auletto (Vito) and William (Tiffanie). Loving Pop Pop of Joey, Henry, Nicolina, Reese, TJ, Aaron, Michael, Isabella, Sophia, AJ and George. Dear brother of Carol, Barbara, Chuck and Betty. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and his K-9 companion Utley.
George proudly served in the US Navy. He was a member of the Cutty Sharks Fishing Club and American Legion Post 281. George worked for the office of Labor and Racketeering as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge. He loved the Eagles and was a season ticket holder. George enjoyed fishing, traveling, but most of all he loved to watch his grandkids' sports and activities.
There will be a viewing from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, March 3rd and from 9:15am to 10:15am on Friday March 4th at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.
Funeral Mass 11am at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Agnes Church, Blackwood.
Interment private at the request of the family.
