Helen "Corky" Maltz was born September 1, 1935, to Reuben and Jeannette Karren in San Antonio, Texas.
She passed away February 24, 2022.
Corky met the love of her life, Melvin Maltz, in 1977. They were married a year later. Corky had three daughters by a previous marriage; and Melvin had two sons and two daughters. Together they formed one big family.
Her greatest joy was being around her husband and family. The more that were there, the happier she was.
Corky was predeceased by her parents, daughter Debi and son Jim. Her survivors are her beloved husband Melvin, Cheri and Ken Frame, Barbie and Jeff Horowitz, Terry and Sam Schlanger, Gail and Ed Dollin, I.B. and Claudia Maltz, Donna Maltz, her sister Ruth and husband Murry Toback, and brother Harold and wife Jean Karren, she also leaves 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Congregation Beth Israel. With appreciation and gratitude, if desiring to contribute, the family suggests Congregation Beth Israel, 5600 North Braeswood Blvd., Houston, TX. 77096, or the charity of your choice.
