In loving memory of

Norma J. McIntosh
October 25, 1937 - March 5, 2022

Norma Jean McIntosh (Maniago) passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the age of 84. Norma is preceded by her husband of 41 years Norman, sister Sally Rootring and parents Guiliamo and Elda Maniago. She graduated from Cody High School in Detroit in 1955. She is survived by her three children Michael (Lisa Russo), Patrick (Diana) and Colleen Maniaci (Marco). Her family included eight loving grandchildren who loved her cooking and sharing time Lauren McIntosh (Steven Kapeles), Andrea McIntosh, Sarah McIntosh (Patrick Pantloni), Payton Ryntz (Andrew), Drake McIntosh, Alexandra Maniaci, Victoria Maniaci and Anthony Maniaci. She absolutely loved and adored her great grandchild Sofia Ryntz and step grandchild Andrew Ryntz.
Norma was a social butterfly who would strike up a conversation with anyone and not be afraid to talk about local happenings, keeping up with friends and family and even politics- as long as you lovingly agreed with her- she'd share a story or listen to how big the world was by listening to accounts shared by her entire family at gatherings that she loved. She liked to travel and see places she had only dreamed of going...a highlight was a trip to her family's homeland....Italy.... but also traveling in a parents club of the Fraser Fraserettes, a competitive team ice skating club that took her to competitions all over the country. Norma loved to cook and share some recipes throughout her growing family as her grandkids looked for food they came to know and love as only Grandma Norma could make.
She raised her family in the 60's and 70's when family time was very important and a lot less distracting. Norma made sure her husband and children had everything they needed and even went back to work for the Warren Consolidated School District as time would allow....but most of all she was dedicated and deeply in love with her husband Norman who she shared so many memories with and reflected upon up until her passing. Her family will deeply miss "Mom" and "Grandma Norma", she was a loving and supportive member to all her friends and family. In lieu of flowers dontations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 25200 Telegraph Rd #100, Southfield, MI 48033
Visitation will be Monday, March 14th 4-8pm at Chas. Verheyden, Inc., 43300 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, 48038. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, March 15th at 11am at the Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
