Claude M Looney
September 18, 1932 - February 23, 2022

Claude died peacefully at the age of 89.at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mt.vernon, WA.with his daughter's Rose & Claudine by his side.

He was born in Decaturville, Missouri. At the age of 18 he joined the Army where he served two tours in the Korean war. While stationed at Fort Lewis he met his wife Marlene and was married July 31,1954. They had 38 years till her passing in March of 1992. They had 4 children.

He worked many jobs before settling settling at Tahoma School Dist. where he retired after 22 years as night lead custodian. In the spring of 2003 he moved to Sedro Woolley.

He is preceded in death by his parents Acel & Edith Breedlove Looney, his wife Marlene Looney, son Steven. 7 brothers, 4 sisters, several nieces and nephews.

He is survived by two daughters Rose Hammingh(Denny)Sedro Woolley,WA., Claudine(Dee)Looney(Davey)Kent,WA. and one son William(Bill)Looney(Litha)Pacific,WA..one sister Annie Flesburg of East Peoria,Illinois and two sister in laws Mary Looney of Colo. Springs,Colorado, Maxine Looney of Hawaii and many nieces and nephews,cousins. 6 grandkids,12 great grandkids, 2 great great grandkids.


His greatest joy was fixing things from wall clocks to Rototillers and everything in between. He was known as" mister fix it man" and he loved fishing, road trips, yard work, spending time at hoods canal, watching baseball, football.He loved being outdoors as long as it was warm.

All will truly miss his smile and laughter..

Dad we all love you and miss you greatly.
