MUSCATINE, Iowa - Shannon Kristine Jens, 41, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Genesis East.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Randy and Janeen's home, 1620 Hershey Avenue, Muscatine. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Shannon's honor, in care of her parents. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Shannon was born on March 11, 1981, in Muscatine, the daughter of Randy and Janeen Luth Jens.
She graduated from Muscatine High School in 1999. She was a cheerleader and enjoyed horseback riding where she received ribbons and trophies. She loved her cat, Skittles and was named after her Aunt Kristine.
She worked at Blains Farm and Fleet receiving awards for her dedication.
Those left to honor her memory include her parents, Randy and Janeen Jens; two siblings, Jamie Bryant and husband, Corey, and their children, JC, Kaydence, and Dylan, and Randi Wisecup and husband, David, and their children, Colton, Ryann, and Ethan; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Shannon is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Don and Kathleen Luth; paternal grandparents, Loren Jens and Virginia and Daniel Honts; and many aunts and uncles.
