Cynthia "Cindy" S. Gomez, 22, of Rochester, Minnesota passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Cynthia Sophia Gomez was born February 29, 2000 in Rochester, Minnesota the oldest child of Yinno and Alicia (Pena) Gomez. She attended Longfellow and graduated in 2018 from Century High School in Rochester where she was active in sports, including cheerleading and tennis. Cynthia was currently enrolled in classes to pursue her degree in nursing in addition to working full time for Center City Housing.
Cynthia was beautiful inside and out with her contagious smile and positive energy. She was kind, sweet, and her heart was full of love for her siblings, parents, family and friends. She reminded them often with her "I Love You" and along with ending a conversation with "God Willing" "Si Dios quiere". Her Mexican heritage was important to her and she loved to experience the culture, food and language. Cynthia also loved her two rescue cats, Katie and Maxwell.
Cynthia was active in the Rochester Assembly young adult community, bible studies and read her daily devotions. She was water baptized in February 2022.
She is survived by her parents, Yinno and Alicia Gomez of Rochester, MN; siblings, Crystal, Carlos and Cezar Gomez all of Rochester. Her loving extended family and friends.
