In loving memory of

Geoffrey Louis Rose
October 3, 1962 - April 13, 2022

Geoffrey Louis Rose passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 of natural causes. Geoff was born on October 3, 1962 in Washington, D.C. to Rose Goldenberg Rose and the late Justin Rose.

The family moved to Houston in 1970. After graduation from Bellaire High School, he started his studies at Tulane University. He continued on at the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated with a double major in mathematics and economic in 1984. After college he worked as a civilian in the U.S. Naval Department in Washington D.C. Several years later he moved across the country to the west coast, first settling in Los Angeles and ultimately to San Diego where he called home.

Geoffrey enjoyed playing poker, including receiving an invitation to the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Some of his other passions included golf and watching professional sports. Taken from us too soon, we all enjoyed his sense of humor, quick wit, and sharp mind.

Geoff was preceded in death by his father Justin. He is survived by his mother, Rose G. Rose, his three siblings; Howard Rose, Suzanne Rose Smith, and Michael (Catherine Schaffer) Rose. Also left to grieve are his niece and nephews; Matthew Smith, Zachary Smith, Benjamin Rose, Andrew Rose and Jenna Rose.

A private funeral service was held.

"As fellow Bellaire High School Golf Letterman, I can sincerely express the crazy days in the Yellow Camero shared with "Toski" Rose. He was a true Good Guy and we all remeber much laughter during our high school days. RIP and Split that Fairway in the Sky."
