Julee Ann Willits, age 74, of Boone, Iowa, died at her home on Monday, May 9, 2022.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 23rd from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 206 W 2nd St. in Madrid, Iowa. Parking is available in the alley area. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.amesmonument.com.


Born April 10, 1948, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Julee Ann Willits was the daughter of Robert and Alice (Kuhlid) Willits. She graduated from Dows High School in 1966.

Julee was a homemaker and worked at Behn's Centre of Dance in Boone as her children were growing up and also cleaned homes in the area. She was a "people person" who will be remembered for her fun, easy-going personality. Julee enjoyed time spent with her family and their many activities.

Survivors include two children, Jason Jacobson of Boone, and Amanda (Carson Skinner) Ristvedt of Madrid; five grandchildren, Josie, Taylor, Alicia, Kelsey, and Ryley; two great-grandchildren, Knox and Boden; a brother, Bob (Diana) Willits of Wisconsin; as well as other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rendall Franklin; and a sister, Kay Russell.

Ames Monument & Cremation Center has been entrusted with the care of Julee and her family.
