In loving memory of

Anthony C. Merlino
November 4, 1933 - May 9, 2022

Anthony C. Merlino, on May 9, 2022, of Franklinville; formerly of Runnemede. Age 88.

Beloved husband of 65 years to Mary "Fran" Merlino (nee Ogren). Devoted father of Kim Hartline (Brian), Anthony C. Merlino, Jr. (June) and the late Robin Merlino. Loving grandfather of Tara Figueroa (Bert), Toni Pratt (Mike), Morgan Merlino, and Anthony Merlino and great grandfather of Ciani Nunez and Ayden Figueroa. Also survived by many loving family members and dear friends.

Tony was an Army veteran, a skilled builder and the smartest man we ever knew. He loved the simple things in life like feeding and watching the birds in his yard, watching sports - especially horse racing and just spending time at home with his family who he loved above all else. He had a great sense of humor and always made us laugh - even through the tough times - and he had quite a few over the years. Despite all of his health issues, he kept fighting and kept smiling right to the end. His big smiles and his hugs and kisses will be missed most.

Pop was the heart and soul of our family and his love for us was beyond measure. He started every conversation with a "Hi Hon" and always ended it with an "I love you." Please honor his memory by spending time with your family and telling them how much you love them.

There will be a visitation from 4pm to 6pm on Monday, May 16, 2022 at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

Memorial service 6pm at the funeral home.

Interment is private at the request of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anthony's memory to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd Street, NY, NY 10016 (www.kidney.org).
