Gordon C. Bristol
April 25, 1928 - May 30, 2022

Gordon C. Bristol left this world peacefully on Monday, May 30, 2022, at his home in White Lake, under the care of his family, Compassus Hospice, and caregiver Linda Roberts. He was 94 years old. Gordon was born April 25, 1928, in Waukegan, Ill a son of the late Clarence and Dora (Shannon) Bristol. He married Eileen Conto on August 18, 1951, in Antigo and they were together 61 years before her death in 2012.

After receiving his GED at 17 years old, Gordon joined the United States Navy in 1945 and proudly served for 22 years as Chief Petty Officer Store Keeper on Supply Ships, before retiring in 1967.

After retiring from the Navy, Gordon and his family made their home in White Lake where he was employed at the former Yawkey Bissell Flooring Mill (now known as Robbins, Inc.). Gordon was Office Manager and later moved to the position as Shipping Supervisor from 1967 to 1991. Gordon then moved to a part-time position until his final retirement in 2013 selling hardwood flooring out of Robbins, Inc. Country Store Outlet.

He was a member of the Anderson-Sather American Legion Post 524 in White Lake.

Gordon enjoyed landscaping, gardening, reading, and helping his neighbors. He had a passion for studying the Bible including talking to anyone about God, Biblical Prophecy, and the book of Revelations. He loved the Lord with all of his heart, mind, and soul. He loved spending time with his family, mostly his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Gordon is preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Fugate, Erdyne Krueger, and Janice Sellers; and a brother, Earl Bristol.

Survivors include three children, Linda (Ron) Klingbyll of White Lake, Ken (Heidi) Bristol of Fox Lake, and Annette (Brian) Roberts of White Lake; seven grandchildren; Jennifer Klingbyll, Stephen (Diana) Klingbyll, Sarah Bristol, Adam Bristol (Liz Sievwright), Colleen (Jeff) Bristol-Jeter, Erin (Anthony) Korchagin, and Shannon (Randy) Ruleau; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 5 at 2 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Schuenke officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will take place at the Langlade Cemetery, town of Wolf River.
