Pelagia M. Ferguson (nee Mitchell), "Polly", passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2022, with her loved ones by her side. Of Turnersville; formerly of Bellmawr. Age 78.
Beloved wife of Ron Ferguson for 57 years. Devoted mother of Veronica McDonnell, Timothy Ferguson (Leslie), Jennifer Rastelli (Ed), Dorothy-Ann Ferguson, Polly Garcia (Arias, Jr.) and the late Chuck Ferguson. Loving Mom-Mom of Alayah (Chris), Maxwell, Anastasia, Daniel, Montgomery, Serena, Taylor, Annaliese, David, Addison, Isaiah, Hailey, Matt, Isabelle, Elijah, Caleb, Nathaniel, Trinity, and Justus and great grandmom of Kylie and Mia. Dear sister of 7 siblings and preceded in death by 3 siblings. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Polly was a store associate at Sears, where she ran the baby department for 19 years before retiring and never missed a day. Prior to that, she was the lead Courier Post station director in Bellmawr. Polly was the President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Bellmawr Little League and was in charge of running the snack stands. She was also in charge of the Bellmawr Little League dances and was president of her bowling league in the 80s and 90s.
Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing from 9am to 11am Monday, June 6, 2022 at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.
Funeral service 11am at the funeral home.
Interment Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Williamstown.
