MUSCATINE, Iowa - Marciano Gonzalez, 90, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at University of Iowa Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Roberto Rada will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family, in care of Sylvia Rada. Marciano was born on November 2, 1931, in Monterrey, Mexico, the son of Idelfonso and Maria Mendoza Gonzalez.
Marciano worked as a carpenter. His faith was strong and he liked to read the Bible. Marciano watched lots of Christian channels while eating bread, chocolate, and candies. He enjoyed reading books. Most of all Marciano loved his family, they were very important to him.
He will be missed by his wife, Luisa Gonzalez; children, Marciano Gonzalez Jr. of Mexico, Idelfonso Gonzalez of Mexico, Jorge Gonzelez, Mario Gonzelez of Muscatine, Martin Gonzalez of Mexico, Sylvia Rada and her husband, Roberto, of Muscatine, and Daniel Gonzalez of Arizona; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his sisters, 101-year-old, Rogelia Gonzalez Guerrero, Lucita Gonzalez, and Socorro Gonzalez.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Antonio Gonzalez and Francisco Gonzalez; his sister, Esperanza Gonzalez, and his brother, Idelfonso Gonzalez.
