JASON DEAN STRATTON
GRANDVIEW, Iowa - Jason 'Jake' D. Stratton, 50, of Grandview, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, surrounded by his family at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the American Legion in Muscatine. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made in his honor to his wife, Kathi, for their grandchildren.

Jason was born on February 21, 1972, in Muscatine, the son of Raymond and Clara Newcomb Stratton. He married Kathi Beeding on May 1, 2004, in Grandview.

Jason was a graduate of Muscatine High School, class of 1990. He wrestled in high school and competed in the state championship. Jason worked in construction as a finishing carpenter and as a mail transportation driver for the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed boating, spending time outside, watching NASCAR and wrestling, and hanging out with friends. Jason loved his family, but most of all loved being a 'Papa' to his five grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Kathi, and their children.

Jason is survived by his wife, Kathi Stratton of Grandview; their children, Shawn Jackson and his wife, Abby, of Muscatine, Katrina 'Kati' Glos and her husband, Tommy, of Hampshire, Illinois, Nick Morgan and his wife, Jeanie, of Muscatine, and Kara Morgan of Muscatine; five grandchildren, Ares and Atlas Jackson, Julianna Glos, and Tony and Milo Morgan; his mother, Clara Stratton of Muscatine; four siblings, Connie Reynolds, Larry Stratton, Fritz Stratton, all of Muscatine, and Fred Stratton of New Boston, Illinois; nephews, Jesse Reynolds, Nic Stratton, and Ben Geertz; niece, Alex Longhurst; extended family; and many close friends.

He is preceded in death by his father; and one brother, Todd Stratton.
