In loving memory of

Janelle Faith Burbey
November 8, 1987 - June 6, 2022

Janelle Faith Burbey, age 34, of Ames, Iowa, passed away at her home on Monday, June 6,
2022.

Janelle Faith Burbey was born in Boynton Beach, Florida, on November 8, 1987, the daughter of
Darrell Walter and Linda Ann (Woisard) Burbey. She had many adventures in her younger years
living in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Janesville, WI, and Clovis, NM. Janelle moved from Clovis, New
Mexico, to Ames in 2007, and earned her associate degree from DMACC. She was most recently
employed as a customer service representative for CDS Global in Boone.

Janelle loved spending time with her family, and she had a special place in her heart for her
pets. More than anything, she especially adored her daughter, Destiney. She was a loving
daughter, an awesome sister, a beloved aunt, and loyal friend. We will miss her frequent video
calls. Janelle genuinely enjoyed collecting owls, making crafts, and online gaming.

She is survived by her daughter, Destiney; her mother, Linda Burbey of Ames; a brother,
Thomas Burbey of Ames; four sisters, Erin (Hans) Stauffer of Dayton, OH, Charlene (Gabriel)
Rios of Clovis, NM, Alena (Robert) Miller of Radcliffe, and Christin Burbey of Colorado; two
nephews, Tim and Royal; and five nieces, Annelise, Gabriella, Hannah, Evangeline, and
Elizabeth.

Janelle was preceded in death by her father, Darrell, on March 25, 2021.

Ames Monument & Cremation Center has been entrusted with the care of Janelle and her
family. A family memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family
wishes memorial contributions for Destiney's care to be sent to https://gofund.me/0e1d2e57

"Janelle and I were such good friends from the time we met at orientation for Town and Country gas station in Clovis. We unfortunately drifted apart over the last decade, but both Janelle and Destiney were often in my thoughts and my heart. I was shocked to my core to hear of this loss. All of my thoughts and prayers for her family, especially Nene, as I can't even fathom the pain of losing one's mother so young. "
