Former Grosse Pointe Woods resident Patricia Elizabeth Gibson, 91, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022.
She was born Feb. 18, 1931, in Detroit, to Theodore and Helen Finnegan, both now deceased.
Patricia graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1949. A member of the English Springer Spaniel Club of Michigan, Patricia loved to show English Springer Spaniels and was an American Kennel Club breeder. She also enjoyed gardening and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and world traveler.
Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles Gibson; son, Scott Gibson; and sister, Frances. She is survived by her daughters, Tracy (Marc), Kerry (Derek) and Shawn (Eric); son, Craig (Jeanne); and grandchildren, Kevin (Nicole), Christine (Sal), Bethany, Rachel (Caleb) and Jessica.
A memorial service takes place at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 20475 Sunningdale Park, Grosse Pointe Woods. She will be interred in the church's memorial garden.
