"I am so sad t see this. I worked for Larry at Acustar/Textron and he was the greatest. Pushed for me to get promoted and supported my career. What a great guy. Always smiling. Larry was the best."
In Loving Memory of ...
Lawrence H. Griggs Jr, "Larry"
February 21, 1958
June 5, 2022
Loving husband, father, son, brother, and best friend.
Surviving is his beloved wife Debby, of 43 years and 8 months; his loving daughters, Dawn and wonderful son (in-law) Vincent and Anne and her fiancé Cindy. There are so many dear family and friends who will greatly miss Larry.
Larry was united in marriage to Debby on September 15, 1978. After their marriage, he really enjoyed working with couples in Pre-Marriage classes for 14 years through their church. Larry was a true Cowboy at heart with his collection of many Cowboy hats. He never left home without one of his cowboy hats on!! Larry loved to collect all kinds of music ... especially Willy Nelson!! He enjoyed playing his guitar, piano, xylophone and really missed being able to play his saxophone. Larry was always singing and was excellent at impersonating Elvis and Willy Nelson. I will miss hearing him singing through the house. Christmas was his favorite holiday, though he insisted on keeping the Christmas spirit around year long and had some of his favorite decorations out in every room through his home. His family and friends knew him for his amazing sense of humor.
Lawrence H. Griggs Jr. passed away Sunday, June 5, after a long battle from 2 open-heart surgeries. Larry had the kindest Heart and the greatest smile. He touched SOO many people's lives !!!!! He will be so greatly missed by so many!!
In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in Larry's Honor.
