June 4, 1931 - June 12, 2022
Loretta P. (Cooper) Seaton, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2022, at Homestead Living in Rochester where she has resided since 2018. Loretta was born on June 4, 1931, in Dunbar, PA to Charles and Lillian (Landman) Cooper. She married William Seaton on January 1, 1949, in Scottdale, PA. Loretta was a homemaker that was dedicated to her husband and her two children. She volunteered at the Jeanette Hospital in Jeanette, PA; was a volunteer for the Bloodmobile for the American Red Cross and was an avid member and officer of the Greensburg Garden Club.
Loretta is survived by her two children, William Seaton, Jr. (Sandra) of West Columbia, and Lisa (Clifton) Colborn of Rochester, MN, 6 grandchildren, Kimberly Seaton-Smith, Danielle Seaton Wilcoxon, William (Paige) Seaton III, Jennifer (Kevin) Stump; Chelsea (Chad) Nelson, Alexander (Holly) Colborn; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, William Seaton as well as her 9 brothers and sisters, Frank, Gladys, William, Charles, Betty, Anna Mae, Jack, and infant twins, Ivan, and Irvin.
Loretta's family is grateful for the excellent care provided by Mayo Clinic and for the caring staff at Homestead of Rochester. Memorials can be sent to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. A private memorial service will be held in Pennsylvania at a date to be determined.
