Sarah Buchanan was a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Sarah age 69, departed this earthly life on June 15th, 2022.

Sarah was born December 17, 1952 in Ethelville, Alabama. She is one of four children born to the Union of Johnny and Pearlie Mae Merriweather. She attended Muskegon High School.
Sarah was a young single mother of two sons Michael and Carlton Merriweather. She was a strong outspoken woman. Sarah would later marry Harry Buchanan. Sarah was employed by the Downtown Hilton hotel. She loved to braid hair, spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She took every moment to enjoy life.

SURVIVORS
She leaves to cherish her memories her two sisters Regina Young of Detroit, MI, Lisa Kitchen, one brother Bruce Merriweather, one son Carlton Merriweather, three grandchildren, Carnisha Merriweather, Levi Merriweather, and Desiraye Gauthier, a great granddaughter Kalese Merriweather, sister-in-law Shelly Kempker, two lifetime friends Sandra Anthony and Lillian Lavern "Von" Mitchell, a special friend Darwin Perish and her faithful friend her dog "Toughy" all of Muskegon, MI and a host of nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents Johnny and Pearlie Mae Merriweather, sister Joyce M. Bride, brother Johnny Ray Merriweather and son Michael Merriweather.

Wednesday, June 22, 2022, 1:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home - Muskegon with Rev. Dwayne D Banks, officiating.
