PATRICIA IRWIN-TATE
WILTON, Iowa -Patricia Irwin-Tate, 52, of Wilton, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the University of Iowa.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Reverend Chris Weber will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Patricia was born on August 20, 1969, in Muscatine, the daughter of Kenneth and Lois Truesdale Irwin. She married Vincent M. Tate on May 18, 1997, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Patricia worked as a researcher at Grain Processing Corporation. She enjoyed cats, reading Stephen King books, and flower gardening. Patricia loved spending time with her children.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Vincent Tate; two children, Jennifer Zeman and her husband, David Brushaber, and Michael Tate; a grandchild that will be coming in November; her mother, Lois Irwin; and three brothers, Douglas Irwin and his wife, Tracy, Jeffrey Irwin and his wife, Leslie, and Jayson Irwin, and his wife, Cindy.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth; and a sister Annette.

"Patty has been my friend since high school, I always cherished her friendship, when my son was murdered, Patty was one of the first people to call me and give me the strength I needed to continue. To the Irwin and Tate families........I am so sorry for your loss, I have no words, I am speechless and I am praying for all of you. to Patty, I will always love you, without question or hesitation, you are my forever friend, and im a better person for having you in my life Steve p.s. I believe time is irrelevant in heaven, so Patty, Ill see you soon my friend!"

"My wife and I are so sad to hear about this. Patty was a member of my lab at GPC for 10 years plus and was one of the best technical scientists I've had the pleasure to work with.
