In loving memory of

Beverly Finnesgard
October 21, 1937 - June 21, 2022

A private family service will be held for Beverly Finnesgard, 84, who died Tuesday, June 21, at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, MN.

Bev was born October 21, 1937, in Owatonna, MN, to Clinton and Irene Riddle. She graduated from Owatonna High School in 1955, and married Joseph Finnesgard in 1956.

Bev was a registered nurse at Mayo Clinic. She felt she was chosen to take care of the sick and loved nursing. Mayo encouraged her and gave her many opportunities to give of herself to others. Bev managed the family apartment business. She treasured letters received from renters when they moved out.

Bev loved her family and enjoyed traveling, camping, their vacation home in Grand Marais, trees, gardening, walking in the woods and along Lake Superior, and creatures of all shapes and sizes. Bev's favorite time was Christmas when she had her family around the table. She was known for her homemade rolls and potato salad.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 65 years, Joseph Finnesgard of Rochester, daughter Renee (Dave) Mergens, son Scott (Janet) Finnesgard, grandsons Michael (Laura) and Eric Finnesgard, step-grandsons Joe and Andrew Mergens, great-granddaughter Hayden, and a sister, Marjorie Jobe. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and a brother.

Given Bev's heart for animals, in lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to an animal rescue organization of the donor's choosing.

Burial will be at Gol Lutheran Church and Cemetery, Kenyon, at a later date.
