Eileen Evelyn Smith

Eileen Evelyn Smith, age 86, of Rochester, MN passed away Monday, July 4th, 2022 at The Homestead at Rochester in Rochester, MN. Eileen was born May 5th, 1936 in Winneshiek County, Iowa to Lester and Ella (Naab) Barnes. She spent 25 years at JC Penny as a seamstress. She loved sewing, camping, fishing and spending time with her family. She was united in marriage to Earl Edward Smith for 50 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; son, Terry Smith; grandson Cory; son in law, Stephen Bauer; brothers, Richard (Donna), Ronald (Ila), Allen and sister, Elizabeth (Spencer) Mostrom.
She is survived by her children, Kristi Bauer, Lynn (Tom) Schaefer and Kevin (Carol) Smith; brother, Kenneth (Yvonne) Barnes; sister, Dorothy (John) Esse; 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren; sister in laws, Kathryn Hovden, Karen Dehning, Darlene Frana, Joyce Smith and Luann Smith.
A memorial service for Eileen will take place at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home (5421 Royal Pl NW, Rochester, MN 55901). Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Hudson, Iowa.
