In loving memory of

Janice Waldorf Selzer
March 29, 1933 - July 13, 2022

Janice Waldorf Selzer, was born on March 29, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio. She grew up in a loving family and adored her younger brother, Richard, who she shared an incredible bond. Janice was beautiful, smart, fun, and loved every aspect of life. She was always out on the town and surrounded by so many lifelong friends.

In 1955, a mutual friend fixed Janice and Earl up on a blind date. Earl was smitten and proposed immediately, but it took Janice to the 4th date, before saying yes. On December 18, 1955, they married in front of 500 loving family and friends. This was Janice's first venture into a lifetime of "over the top" entertaining and party planning.

The newlyweds settled in Houston, Texas, where they had three wonderful children, Elyse, Billy, and Linda. Janice was a devoted mom and wife, immersing herself in every aspect of their lives. From swim meets to PTO, to BBYO, every activity, she did it all. The Selzer home was always open to friends and family, no matter the hour!

Janice was a voracious reader and always loved to learn. She educated herself in Interior Design, created a sought-after jewelry line, taught herself fluent Spanish, and became the tech expert for the family. After her children got married, Janice started a successful company, Janice W. Selzer Fine Stationary. For years, Janice served the Houston community printing and designing everything from B'nai Mitzvah and wedding invitations to corporate events.

More than anything else, Janice loved her family. Janice is preceded by her parents Della and Harry Waldorf, in-laws Myrna and Joseph Selzer, and sister-in-law Barbara Selzer.
