Lucille Van Ooyen
December 30, 1945 - August 3, 2022

Lucille Van Ooyen, of Antigo, died Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at St. Mary Hospital in Madison. She was 76 years old. She was born on December 30, 1945, in Antigo, a daughter of Flatley and Doreth (Fitch) Jones. She married Harland Van Ooyen on October 18, 1969, at Peace Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2014.

She graduated from Antigo High School in 1964. Lucille was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and the Antigo Women's Club.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, cooking and cleaning. She also enjoyed dice and card games with friends and holiday baking with her family. In her earlier years camping and family gatherings were a priority.

Survivors include son, John (Paula) Van Ooyen of Mount Horeb; six grandchildren, Samantha Franzen, Paige Hill, Haley (Daniel) Bradley, Tyler Tatro, Wyatt Van Ooyen and Maria Van Ooyen; three sisters, Geraldine Hoerman of Antigo, Bernice (Jerry) Banczak of Antigo and Marguerite "Peg" Wurtinger of Antigo; four sisters-in-law, Donna Van Ooyen, Darlene Van Ooyen, Janet (Fred) Kohlmeier and Betty Fleischman.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Vincent Avery Spotswood; two brothers, Willis Jones and brother, Ervin Jones; brothers-in-law, Richard Hoerman, James Van Ooyen, Richard Van Ooyen and Jack Wurtinger, Sr.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Vicar Jennifer Sosinski officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. and Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. all at the funeral home.
