Vega H. Wimmer (nee Krause), age 87, passed away August 8, 2022.
Vega was born June 22, 1935 to the late Maria and Albert Krause. After attending North Western University and Wayne State University, Vega earned her Master's Degree and started a career as an Audiologist. She enjoyed history and art and was a big supporter of the DIA, Detroit Symphony, and historic preservation around Detroit and was a member of Preservation Wayne. She was a mater-of-fact person with strong opinions that held her fast to her morals and ethical standards. Vega was a deeply caring person, she truly cared for others wellbeing and wanted to help anyone she could.
Cherished wife of 50 years to Bo Holma. Beloved mother of Curt (Carol Baker) Wimmer and step-mother of Maud (Calle) Holma-VonHeijne. Proud grandmother of Isabel, Iris, Hans, Cecilia, and Axel. Loving sister of the late Charlotte Maier and the late Carlo Krause; sister-in-law of Ingrid Krause. Dear aunt of Sven (Carrie) Krause, Phillip (Darcelle) Krause, and Kerwin (Patty) Krause.
