In loving memory of

Teresa Joan Haberli
July 14, 1940 - August 24, 2022

Teresa Joan Haberli

I was born July 14, 1940, in Kalkaska, Michigan to the late Edward Thomas and Lula May Roberts. The youngest of three sisters: the late Olive Hoot and Evelyn (Dennis) Schoen, Appleton, WI. After my parent's death, I was adopted by Otto and Florence Kuehn and graduated from Sevastopol High School, Institute, WI.

On September 5, 1959, I married Arnold C. Haberli at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Institute. Arnold passed away on May 8, 2017, at Door County Medical Center. We were blessed with eight children; three sons, John (Leah) Haberli of Oklahoma City, Steven (Christina) Haberli, and Anthony Haberli all of Sturgeon Bay; five daughters, Catherine (Andrew) Heimbecher of Egg Harbor, Karen (Mark) Orthober of Tripoli, Marie (Tim) Ash, Michelle (Greg) Schleicher and Marsha (Charles) Forsch all of Sturgeon Bay.

I was blessed to be called Grandma Teresa to 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Life has been good to me being blessed with the joys of my own large family plus my extended Welter family-Gary's three sons- Pete, Matt, Nick, and their families. I was still able to realize my goal of a nursing career which was very important to me.

I enjoyed the many flowers that Gary Welter-my long-ago high school sweetheart-now my companion in later years-have raised together. Spending many relaxing hours reading the accumulation of books in my personal library-sitting on the deck with a glass of wine while listening to music enhanced by the speakers and excellent sound system that was installed just for me.

And, most of all, the companionship of the many dogs throughout my life-especially my faithful friend, Bandit, Rufus, who kept me feeling safe, Benji, Buford, and now Boris and Bailey.

I made many friends through the years that have been there for me and brought me happiness and fun times. I had the comfort of being a member of S.S. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo.

Faith- Family- Friends-what more could a person want or need out of a lifetime?

Age 82, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 29 at the Town of Summit Cemetery at 11 a.m. with Reverend Mathew Simonar officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Carmelite Society of the Little Flower, 1313 N. Frontage Rd. Darien, IL 60561.
