In loving memory of

Thelma "Lu" Arnold
December 30, 1932 - August 30, 2022

Thelma "Lu" Arnold went home to be with Jesus on August 30, 2022. She was born in Akron, Ohio on December 30, 1932, to Charles and Mildred Joslyn, the youngest of four.

She married William "Bill" Arnold on July 6, 1951, in Hudson, Ohio. When Bill joined the United States Airforce during the Korean Conflict, Thelma traveled the U.S. with him living on various military bases, giving birth to their first child, and eventually landing at High Wycombe in England.

Bill and Thelma had four children:
John William, deceased, (Ginger)
Linda Joslyn
William Kenneth (Jana)
Kenneth Charles (Vicki)
They were also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Thelma was an executive secretary from the 1950s thru 2017 in Ohio and Florida with The Mid-Continent Telephone Company, B & G Classic Autos (Bill's car dealership), Bank of America, Church on the Rock and Westminster Manor.

Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, taking care of Bill, reading, crossword puzzles, taking care of Bill, going to church, serving in the church nursery, planning family gatherings, and taking care of Bill. She made sure there was a huge party at her house for every birthday, holiday, or just because it was Saturday evening. She wanted to check on everyone before she went to church on Sunday morning.

Thelma loved everyone she came in contact with - and you knew you were special, and you were loved each time you met her. Her love came from Jesus, and she couldn't stop giving His love away. Her life could be wrapped up in these ancient words:
Love must be sincere.
Hate what is evil;
Cling to what is good.
Be devoted to one another in love.
Honor one another above yourself.
---Romans 12:9-10

Thelma will be greatly missed by family and many friends. However, we are at peace knowing that she is with Jesus and the love of her life, William "Bill" Arnold, whom she hadn't seen for 5-1/2 years.

Her celebration of life will be held on September 21, 2022, at 12:30pm, at the Sarasota National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sound Choice Solutions of Sarasota, FL.
