MARLTON - BERNICE GLORIA MOSHEL passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at Virtua Vorhees Hospital in Vorhees. She was 91 years old.
Born in Jamaica, New York, to Eugene and Mae (née Schussel) Kornhauser, she grew up in Queens and resided in Westwood and Mount Laurel, before moving to Marlton twenty years ago.
Prior to retiring in 2003, she was a Certified Medical Assistant for Dr. Kenneth Friedberg in Dumont and Dr. Kenneth Goldstein in Mt. Laurel for about 30 years.
She was a member of the Jewish Community Center Goodtimers, Hadassah, and B'nai Brith.
Bernice enjoyed playing Rummikub with her friends, following the Philadelphia Eagles, family gatherings and doting on her five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her warmth and gentle ways were an inspiration for everyone who knew her.
Bernice was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Martin Moshel; her son, Leigh Moshel; and her sisters, Rita Hart and Doris Weingus.
Surviving are her son, Alan and his wife, Karen, of North Potomac, MD; her daughter, Donna Opatosky and her husband, Miles, of Ocean; her sister, Greta Laster, of Wanaque; her grandchildren, Sheri Rothenberg and her husband, Josh, Susan Menashi and her husband, Danny, Dr. Robert Mislavsky and his wife, Dr. Hallie Morris, Jacob and Adam; and her great-grandchildren, Matthew Menashi and Noah Rothenberg.
A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 10:30 am, at MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Interment will follow at Old Montefiore Cemetery, Queens, NY. For directions, please visit out "Services" page.
