Mr. Thomas Raymond Strait, age 73, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022. He was born in Muskegon, MI on May 22, 1949 to Cecil & Dorothy (Udell) Strait and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1967. He served his country for 10 years in the US Marine Corps. He did multiple tours in Vietnam and eventually recieved a purple heart. Mr. Strait had been employed as a US Postal Service Mail Carrier for over 25 years until retiring from the Muskegon Heights Post Office. Thomas enjoyed gardening, working on his yard, Tigers basball, NASCAR, and visiting casinos. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

Son, Lance Strait; daughter, Kristen (Troy) Wyant; grandchildren, Michael Wyant, Hailey Strait, Maranda Terry, Megan Terry; brother, Dale (Pam) Strait; significant other, Judy Lincoln; good friend, Cory Pendrick; numerous nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; brother Joseph and sister Rose

"So sorry for your loss,it was several years ago, Tom called me,he had found my phone number, we talked about an hour,it brought back memories of a long time ago. Tom an I served in Vietnam together with B Co 1st Shore Party Bn.my memories of that time were sketchy.However I remember Tom,we were assigned to different Companies with 1st. Bn.5th Marines,we work out of An Hoa Combat Base.Tom was a good man and a great Marine,may he rest in peace. Dennis Baldinger "
