Alex Rakhmanchik
August 8, 1950 - September 21, 2022

EAST BRUNSWICK- ALEX RAKHMANCHIK passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 72 years old.

Born in Kursk, Russia, to Aron and Ida (née Plaska), he immigrated to the United States in 1992, moving to Brooklyn, NY, before settling down in East Brunswick, where he spent the next 29 years.

Prior to retiring, he was a Pipefitter for Absolute Protective Systems in Piscataway, where he worked for over 28 years.

Alex was hardworking, strong, loving, and gentle. He always had a smile on his face and was there to lend a helping hand to everyone around him. He had a passion for woodworking, creating, invention, and fixing things. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Olga; his daughters, Mariya Figueiredo and her husband, Ricardo, of South River, Elina Durango and her husband, Luis, of Mountainside, and along with his two grandchildren.

A Cryptside service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 10:30 AM, at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, US Highway 1 N., Woodbridge, under the direction of Mt. Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. For directions, please visit our "Services" page.

Due to my mother's condition, we are asking everyone who attends, to please wear a mask and keep social distance from her. Whoever is sick, we ask that you please do not attend. We will understand.
