Earl Charles Harley
November 5, 1938 - September 28, 2022

Earl C. Harley "Butch" or as others may know "Stumpy", age 83, passed away September 28, 2022 surrounded by family. He was born in Muskegon, MI on November 5 , 1938. Earl graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central in 1956. Earl married the love of his life the former Jacqueline "Jackie" Gornes on July 5 , 1957. He served in the National Guard from 1956-1961. Earl was a Norton Shores Police Officer from 1959-1964. In 1964 he left the police force and began work as a machinist for Kaydon Corporation, where he retired from in 1998. Earl enjoyed many things in life; being a jokester, wood carving, duck and deer hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, sharing his knowledge of guns at his son's gun shop, S & G Shooter's Supply and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Jackie in 2008 and his son in law, Michael "Mike" Hennings in 2012. Earl is survived by his son Earl F. "Sonny" Harley, daughter Kim Hennings, two granddaughters, Leigha (Bill) Bell, Nichol (Andrew) DeCheney and great-grandson Jacob Bell.

According to his wishes, there will be no service held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift in Earl's name to Harbor Hospice Muskegon.
