Franklin Stainbrook
November 3, 1957 - October 8, 2022

Franklin Stainbrook, died Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Alden Meadow Park in Clinton. He was 64 years old. He was born on November 3, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, a son of Norman and Dolores (Smolinski) Stainbrook. He married Debra Kakes on August 2, 1980, at Peace Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on March 21, 2017.

Frank graduated from Antigo High School, class of 1976. He served in the United States Navy.

After he returned from service, Frank enjoyed working for many companies including Johnson Electric and Coil, Schnieder Trucking, Mid-State Ice, Tamarack Assisted Living in Menomonee Falls.

Frank was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and enjoyed attending the bible study at Two Angels Restaurant. He was proud to become an Eagle Scout during his high school years which encouraged him to become a Boy Scout leader for Antigo Troop #444. He was also a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association.

Frank will be remembered as a storyteller, often recalling his time on the farm he grew up on.

Survivors include his three brothers, Andy Stainbrook of Mattoon, James (Amber) Stainbrook of Mosinee, David Stainbrook (Brenda Dudek) of Mattoon; and a sister, Veronica Stainbrook of Florida; an adopted daughter, April Jones of Madison; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cathy Begrow; brothers-in-law David and Dan Kakes.

A memorial service will be held at a later date by his family. Burial will take place at Holy Family Cemetery in Mattoon next to his wife.
