In loving memory of

Shannon Rene Creel
November 17, 1987 - September 21, 2022

Shannon Rene' Creel was born in Lomita, California to Rhonda E. Dixon and Charles L. Creel, Sr.
Shannon was a very observant and spiritual child, even as a toddler her father nicknamed her, "Wild Child." She learned very early on how to use her facial expressions to get attention. At the age of six years old, she was able to look at an image of Mickey Mouse on the back of her jean jacket and draw the image without help.

As she grew older, she loved playing basketball and was on a team at the Rainier Playfield here in Seattle. She later wrote a poem, and it was published online. She loved having friends and always had them around her. She was a very caring and sensitive person, who always respected her elders as she was taught by her mother. Shannon had a vibrant personally. She was a quick learner with a bright, and inquisitive light. She loved the outdoors, digging for crystals, along with paddle boarding, hammocking, snowboarding, going paint balling and looking through her telescope.
Her passion was to serve the marginalize community. She was a staunch advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and encouraged everyone to live as their true authentic selves.
As Shannon would say, "The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will."

Leaving to cherish her memories are her mother Rhonda E. Dixon of Seattle, WA., her brother, Charles L. Creel, Jr. of Howell, NJ., her sister Jo Ann E. Eskridge of Los Angeles, CA., her brother Ke-Koa Lee Creel of Redmond, WA., her fiancé Brittany Walberg of Seattle, WA., her Aunt Chyrel Dennis-Browning of Las Vegas, NV., her Uncles, Steve Stringer (Florida) of Pinola, MS and E.V. Stringer of Chicago, IL., one nephew, Jason Matarrita of Los Angeles, CA and a host of other relatives and friends. She also leaves behind her 16 yr. old dog Papi.

Shannon was preceded in death by her father, Charles L. Creel, Sr. on Aug 10, 2022.
Thank you to our family, extended family and all our friends, who have loved, supported, and helped us as we walk through this difficult time.
