MUSCATINE, Iowa - Richard E. 'Rick' Ash, 74, of Muscatine, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Premier Estates.

Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Rick's honor, in care of his wife Chris Ash. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online Condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com

Rick was born on November 10, 1948, in Muscatine, the son of Orville and Elsie 'Irene' Kendall Ash. He married Christine Decker and they were together for 50 years.

He worked for Crescent Laundry, Chuy's Auto Repair, and R&C Painting and Repair. He loved working with his hands, fixing things, science, and Gasser Racing.

Rick is survived by his wife, Christine 'Chris' Ash of Muscatine; eight children, Jeanine Ash Bengtson of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Linda Ash of Kansas City, Missouri, Tommy Ash and wife, Brandi, of Muscatine, Lori Ash of Muscatine, Scott Ash and wife, Stephanie of Missouri, Sandra Ash of Muscatine, Tammy Jensen and husband, Steve, of Coralville, and Tim Ash and wife, Megan of Muscatine; 13 grandchildren, Stephanie (Alex), Devon, Zach, Caleb, Logan, Marcy, Britt, Scott Jr., Isabella, Melea, Anthony, Dominik, and Jack; two great grandchildren, Dravin and Ellie; and 7 siblings, Donald, Melvin, Charlie, Robert, Gerald, Peggy, and Jessie 'Chuy'.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, Marvin, David, Helen, and Karen.
