"I was sad to hear about Gary, a member at my church informed me about his passing. Gary and my family attended Samuel together. He made VBS fun and memorable for the kids with his science experiments. He tied faith and science together for the younger members. He was so thoughtful to my family and others at Samuel. He was kind, intelligent and genuine. I visited him a couple of times at the assisted living center and felt many members were forgotten due to covid and the merger of our church. He will be missed. Mr. Gary Lynn Sundin, age 74, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022. He was born in Muskegon, MI on August 13, 1948 to Robert & Vera (Lipton) Sundin. Mr Sundin graduated from Michigan Tech with a BA in geology and later earned his MA in education. He was employed as Teacher for Grand Rapids Public Schools teaching physics and math until retiring. Gary was a long time member of Samuel Lutheran Church.

Brothers, Donn (Sherrie) Sundin of Manistee, Greg (Lariane) Sundin, of Alpena.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
SERVICE
A graveside service will be held at a later date. Interment in Lakeside Cemetery.
