Elizabeth Ann Sosnovske
March 28, 1932 - December 10, 2022

Elizabeth Ann Sosnovske, age 90, of Marathon, died Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Cloverleaf Assisted Living in Marathon. She was born on March 28, 1932, in Madison, a daughter of Raymond and Adeline (Davy) Quinn. She married Robert Sosnovske on December 26, 1953, in La Crosse. He preceded her in death on August 5, 1990.

She graduated from Fond du Lac High School and received her Bachelor's in Education from the University of Wisconsin Madison.

Mrs. Sosnovske taught at St. John Catholic Grade School in Antigo. She was a sales associate for the Antigo Shoppers Guide.

Betty was a member of the Sno Drifters Snowmobile Club and the Antigo Youth Hockey Association. She was also a Girl Scout Leader and was an organizer of the Antigo Area Polka Festival.

In 1989 she moved to Arizona and volunteered at the Lake Havasu Visitors Center and the Lake Havasu Historical Society. She participated in several archeological digs. She enjoyed summers at the cabin in Crandon where she volunteered at the Crandon Historical Society.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn (Mark) Piela of Sun Prairie and Deborah (Dale) Gauerke of Edgar; two sons, Daniel Sosnovske of Leesburg, FL and Michael (Judy) Sosnovske of Oconomowoc; nine grandchildren, Amy (John) Lathrop, Amber (Nicholas) Jepperson, Timothy (Samantha) Sosnovske, Jennifer (Aaron) Rebman, James (Rebecca) Piela, Alex Piela, Christine (Ken) Dunbeck, Sarah (Derek) Herzberg, and Lynda Cadillac; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia (Tom) Svec and Mary Calkins both of La Crosse; and a sister-in-law, Lorena Sosnovske of Gleason.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Sosnovske; a brother, Nicholas (Joann) Quinn; and brothers-in-law, Bud Calkins and Louie Sosnovske.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
