Norma Clouser, age 90, of Ames passed away on December 23, 2022. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 4-6:00 p.m.at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way Ames, Iowa 50010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church, 2900 Hoover Ave, Ames, Iowa 50010. Graveside service will be delayed until spring.

Norma Jean Baldus Clouser was born May 17, 1932 to Earl Duane and Reinelda Ivetta McCoy Baldus of Story City, IA. She attended rural country school in Story City and then graduated from Gilbert High School. Later, she married Norman Dale "Ike" Clouser in 1950 and they had five children, Steven, Rebecca, David, Rodney and Lisa. Norma was known for being a hard worker. Over her many years of work, she worked at Tom's Grill, L Way Café, University Bank & Trust and US Bank. In 1979, she purchased The Flame & Skewer in North Grand Mall, owned and operated it until 1988. She then returned to US Bank, working in the motor/drive up bank (University Branch) until she finally retired at the young age of 74. Norma loved to go dancing, rarely missing a Saturday night at the Moose Lodge. She really enjoyed playing cards with her friends, Pat, Rosanne, Charlotte and Aunt Faye.

Norma is survived by her children, Steven (Leona) Clouser, Rebecca (Randy) Johnson, Rodney (Melody) Clouser and Lisa (Gilbert) Decena, 12 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren. Her sister Alice Faye McNertney, niece, Julie Krause, sister-in-law, Marilyn Baldus, nephew, Greg Baldus, nephew, Patrick Naughton, Laura Pearl DeLance and Bob & Julie Walker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Duane Baldus, a sister, Kathleen Naughton, her child, David and dearest friend, Bob Walker.

Memorials may be directed to US Bank. Family has chosen to donate all memorials to Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery.
