Irvin Aird, of Pearson, died Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Lakewood Assisted Living. He was 87 years old. He was born on December 3, 1935, in Pearson, a son of the late Ivo and Amelia (Ainsworth) Aird.
Mr. Aird served in the United States Army from November 1958 to May 1960, having been stationed in Fort Greely, Alaska.
Irvin was employed by the Department of Natural Resources for 22 years operating the Dredge for the Fishery Department. He retired in 1991.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed cutting wood, selling Christmas Trees, and hunting. He resided in Pearson until 2016 when he moved to Lakewood.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Pickerel and enjoyed attending Mass in Crandon as well.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Arlene Williams and Norma Weber; and a brother, Donald Aird.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Peters officiating. Burial will take place in Pearson Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
