Susan "Sue" Ellen Welch, age 52 of Elk River, MN, passed away peacefully, with her daughters at her side on Thursday, January 5, 2023 in hospice care.
Susan was born in Wausau, WI on October 3, 1970 to Paul and the late Jean Kruncos (Wiedeman). She graduated from D.C. Everest High School in Schofield, WI. She graduated from UW LaCrosse with a degree in accounting. Susan was a consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics, where she found her love for the color pink.
She is survived by her children, Emily (St. Paul, MN), and Rachel (Rogers, MN); her father, Paul Kruncos (Schofield); her siblings, Michael (Brenda) Kruncos, Mark Kruncos, Kathleen Leith nieces and nephews, Brian (Crystal) Kruncos and their children Amber and Megan, Raeanne Kruncos, and Eric Leith. She is also survived by her lovable dog, Trixie.
Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Kruncos (Wiedeman); and grandparents, Peter and Celia Kruncos, and Robert and Violet Wiedeman.
Sue loved to visit Door County, Wisconsin, cheer loudly for the Packers with a Coke and a bag of Doritos in hand, and of course spend time with her two daughters. Sue attended countless middle and high school events for her children and was quite active in their lives. Sue loved to celebrate holidays and would visit apple orchards or pumpkin patches for the fall season. She also loved to challenge her brain by playing Scrabble, word finds, or any online puzzle game.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Word of Peace Lutheran Church, 2105 129th Avenue North, Rogers, MN. Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm until the time of service at the church. The family will be wearing the color pink in honor of Sue, you are welcome to do the same. Interment: Saturday, January 21, 2023, 11:00 am at Northland Memorial Park, 4239 N Shore Drive, Rhinelander, WI.
