Mr Velester Ray, age 73, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023. Velester was born in Pine Bluff, AR on August 18, 1949 to Sim & Albirda (Wallace) Ray. Velester accepted Christ at a young age. Vee graduated from Muskegon High School in 1967.He served his country in the US Marines in 1969, during the Vietnam War. After serving his country, Vee worked at Campbell, Wyant and Cannon and then later in the office of the V.A Hospital in Battle Creek. Vee enjoyed cooking, laughing with family, and loved his grandchildren. Vee will be missed by his family and friends.

Parents Sim and Albirda Ray; children, Keith Parker, Donte Ray, Sheqouia Ray; grand children, Leshia, Julius, Dekari, Dekarion, Kyrie, Tayah, Kaliyah, Damoney, Darnell; siblings, Lola Wiseman, Mary Bruce, Herbert (Kenya) Ray, Patricia Ray, Michael (Linda) Ray, Sandra (Gregory) Briggs, Thelma (Kenneth) Grissom, Jacqueline (Curtis) Adams, Linda Ray; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya Kirksey, and his grandson, Armoni Ray.

SERVICE:
Tuesday, January 24, 2023, 12:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin McCloud Jr officiating. Repast following service at The Sim Ray Community Center. Interment in Fort Custer National Cemetery.

I was over their house everyday so I guess he felt there was no difference!
